why are my P99 9x19 mags rattling when theyre loaded?
bith factory mags, when loaded with 8,10,12 and 14 rounds the mag rattles... i have 2 other 9mms and one .45 and none of them do that
I don't have an answer for you but mine do that too. I normally don't notice it and I've never had any issues with them.
Tap the floorplate on a table once or twice. This is because Walther changed the spring when they went from a 16 round magazine to a 15 round magazine. The original 16 round magazines and the S&W labeled 16 rounders do not rattle.
It is what it is.
i slap the shit out of them from all directions and it does nothing... thats no bueno i was planning on carrying this

Not slap the shit out of them from all angles, but tap the magazine floorplate on a table a couple of times. Most of the time it works, but sometimes it does not.
While I have had few other magazines do this, this issue has come up with a couple of my Hi-Power mags and on 17 round Beretta 92 MecGar I had.
The P-99 is a great carry piece and I think you are overthinking this.
My Glock mags rattle sometimes too. They still function 100%.
ive had my p99 for years and have shot it quite a bit. mine has that mag rattle too, since it never gave me any probs in the past i just ignore it now.
Almost all double stack mags will do this. Not all the time, and not with every mag, but it's pretty common across brands.

its just odd because i have 6 other double stack 9mm mags for 2 other pistols and none of them do this but the walther
My 15rd mags will do that, but my single 16 rounder is silent. Damn jingle bells.

Seen it in Beretta, Smith, Glock, and SIG.
