Props to Taurus Warranty, 4 day turnaround!

I've had a 605 stainless snub 357 for several years, and after several hundred rounds of 38 and 357, it began developing a crack on the right side of the forcing cone. I decided to send it back under their warranty, and even though I've not heard stellar things, it's there, I don't have a smith or the money for one, and I can wait.

Sent it in Monday overnight UPS before I went to classes. The $60 in freight caught me a bit off guard, I think to myself about using FedEx next time. Fast forward to today, Friday. I got it this afternoon completely cleaned with a brand new barrel. Everything locks up tight. Surprise, the labels on the FedEx box show about half the freight charges. The g/f thinks they wanted to push it out before the holiday weekend.

I have yet to shoot it, but that's incredible service from a company that everyone loves to bash. Makes me happy that I bought a 24/7 Pro compact and they stand behind their guns, even if it takes the estimated 4-6 weeks. Photos before and after will follow tomorrow.

I sent my PT-22 to Taurus for a broken firing pin. Took over a month to get it back.

I fully expected to wait the six weeks, that's why I found it to be so incredible.

Pics as promised.

Fixed.

This is why you get them to send you the firing pin and you replace it yourself.

Well, now it's my turn to see how Taurus CS works out. I will be sending a 4" Model 94 .22LR in to get the bent ejector rod replaced (it came that way from a GunBroker purchase. No, I'm not happy, and yes, the seller posts here and knows who he is).

Taurus claims a lifetime (of the weapon) warranty. We'll see how they do.

UPDATE 9/28/2011: Weapon was sent out Mon. evening via UPS overnight. Acknowledged as received on Tues. morning, and notified today that it is in transit back to me, overnight. Fantastic turn around and they didn't ask for a dime for the repair. Now we get to see if they were actually able to resolve the issue.

They did it, the first time with no problems. I am seriously impressed, I must say. I wish all firearms vendors were this good with thier CS.
