Anybody using the Insight WL1-AA weapon light? How do you like it? I like the idea of a light that runs on common AA batteries.

I’ve had one for a couple of months now. It’s replaced the TLR-1 I had on my house gun (Beretta M9A1). It’s not quite as bright as the TLR (150 lumens vs. 160) but more then bright enough to do anything I might want to do with a pistol light. I like the switch better, since it works the same way left or right handed (unlike the TLR). The strobe function works fine, if that matters to you. It’s lighter then the TLR and has a run time of 1.5 hours on good batteries (the TLR will run 2.5 hours). It’s easy to put on and take off without tools. The TLR was the only gizmo I owned that used CR123 batteries, which was kind of annoying. Now that I’ve switched to the WL1-AA everything in my life that needs batteries uses rechargeable AA’s (Eneloops).
