Safariland weaponlight holsters & TLR-3
I'm currently using a Safariland 6280 holster for my MnP 45. A useful feature of this holster is that it also perfectly carries my MnP 9c as well.
My plan is to add weaponlights to both the 45 full-size and the 9c. I already got the TLR3 for the compact. Probably going to get a TLR1 for the full-size. Of course that means I'll have to upgrade the holster as well.
I'm wondering, since my current Safariland fits the smaller pistol, will a 6280 for the 45 w/TLR1 also hold the 9c w/TLR3? I seem to recall reading the retention on Safariland weaponlight holsters is entirely on the light & not the pistol. Is that true?
