My 1st prototype ........

Being around the house too much has lead me astray ...........
It's my first ever attempt at making a holster, it's a little rough and I've already decided to make a couple of small changes to the pattern but I thought I'd see what y'all think......

I've worked leather when I was a kid, spent a summer making sandels and that sir is some NICE leather work!

Thank you all for the kind words guys ........... I give you attempt #2 w/mag holder (For a ikor's new Colt Commander he's picking up Thursday) It's based on the first with some minor changes. The leather has some cosmetic flaws in it but ikor is going to be using and abusing it to give me feedback on the design. I'm making these out of 9oz cowhide.

I'm guessing that you got some tips from someone regarding what leather to use, how to mold it, etc. Were there any websites that you got good info. at regarding holster making?
