Just placed my Crossbreed Order
Well after much thought I went ahead and ordered a Super Tuck Deluxe from Crossbreed Holsters. I will give you guys an update when I get it, that looks like it could take 4-6 weeks so we'll see. Anyone else here have one and tell me how they like it? Its for a Glock 23
If I like it I'm going to order one for my 1911 as well.
Curious..I need a more comfortable way to carry...
There are a bunch of people on youtube that really show off the holster well. In fact in the couple days that I spend searching around I could not find anybody online that had anything bad to say about it. This guy makes them to order and they do take about a month to get but from what I've seen online it should be worth the wait. I was just going to buy a Galco which is my past choice but just had to see what all the fuss was about with this one.

They're great until the leather gets in the way of a proper draw. I had to cut so much leather off of mine to make it functional that the comfort level went way down, I carry in a Raven Concealment holster now.
I've been carrying a Glock 23 every day in a Supertuck and I love it. I have had absolutely no issues at all in the past 2 or 3 years that I've had it. (I can't remember how long I've had it.)

+1
had to make my own "combat cut" to the leather backer. plus, the holster still squeaks when I move around, even after some lengthy wear.
I have two crossbreeds and picking up two more for two other pistols.
The only negative thing to say is that on my microclip for my P32, there is too much leather in the way. Since the pistol has such a short grip it makes the draw somewhat difficult.
I have one for my USP Tactical. I love it.
I bought one for a Smith & Wesson J frame. It's better than using a DeSantis Nemesis IWB.
It's wide, the retention is negligible, and the metal clips are sharp and suck to handle/position. The Comp-Tac MTAC is leaps and bounds better, in my opinion. Unfortunately, Comp-Tac doesn't see fit to make an MTAC for one of the most popular concealed carry weapons of all time.

Iv been carrying a glock 19 in one since December. Its the only thing i carry now, i highly doubt you'll be disapointed.
I love my supertuck

I ordered one and it took 4 weeks. I can't remember where but another place online has them in stock.
I have 2 of them.
One, which I only wore for a month with my SIG P220 Carry Equinox just to see how it would a carry, and another which has been my everyday holster in which I've been carrying a full size M&P .40 for going on 4 years now.
On rare occasions, when I need a pistol with shorter grips for concealment under tighter fitting tucked dress shirts, I throw an M&P 9c into the same holster.
The horsehide Super Tucks are the best IWB holsters I've found in 40 years of carrying handguns daily; IMO, nothing beats them for carrying and concealing a full size, large frame handgun.
This picture taken as soon as the holster for the SIG arrived, it is the new version with improved clips which are stamped with the cross design rather than having them as cut outs.
Just as a guide to the time delay, I ordered my Glock 19 Horsehide Natural CT Laserguard compatible holster on Sunday July 10, 2011 and it shipped August 1, 2011. I looks like the back log of orders is currently about 3 weeks. Well worth the wait I am told :-)
I love mine, though I just went with the regular cowhide, didn't see the need to spend extra on horse hide. It has held up great, leather hasn't gotten in the way, no squeaks, and pretty comfy. Leather can get aggravating on hot days though.
I see you put something under your clips. I got mine today and it creaks so loud i wont be fooling anyone. I know it will just take time to wear-in and will get more quite. I'm just curious if some moleskin or something underneath them will help in the meantime.
So quick update I got my Crossbread in the mail the a while ago and sold it on ebay about 2 months later. I did not like it at all but I have a buddy that just got one for his sig and he loves it. To each his own, Im going to stick with Galco.
Been carrying my G19 in one for a few months now. Carries great and comfortable. Might need a little trimming later, but for now it's good. As for the squeaking, I just put a little baby powder on it and it goes right away.

I've had cross breed holsters for 2-3 years that have those clips. How is it a new design?
The pictures didn't show it but on my 4 year old Super Tuck, the crosses are cut all the way through the metal and therefore create a weak spot due to the metal being actually removed.
On the newer holster, the crosses are only embossed into the steel clips, but not cut through, so they do not weaken them.
The newer clips are made of a somewhat thinner but "springier" steel as well.
I want to add that I have not personally experienced any problems with the older style steel clips on the 4 year old holster in which I carry the M&Ps but some have had the clips bend at the weak spot.
These pictures aren't great, but the old style clip with the cross cut entirely through are on the left; and the new embossed steel clip is on the right.
You can see the weak spot on the old clip due to the removal of material which leaves a rather thin piece of steel at the ends of the crossbars.
The new style clips are of a different spring steel material as well.
