Anyone do custom recoil springs to order?

Here's why I ask:

I have a Sig P220ST.

I use a LaserMax guide rod/laser.

The spring it comes with is significantly lighter than the new Sig "green" spring used in the ST (which I believe is 20#). I'm guessing the spring that came with the LaserMax is comparable to the older P220 "black" spring (15# or 17#, depending what source I've read, but either way: lighter).

The gun functions fine with the lighter spring... but knowing the gun funtions well (and was designed to function) with the heavier spring, I'd prefer to try and find somthing a little more stout.

The exterior diameter of the LaserMax is larger than the interior diameter of the stock Sig spring... so no chance of using stock.

I've written LaserMax, but haven't yet recieved an answer.

In the meantime, anyone know of someplace I could find a custom spring for a handgun. Say, I specify interior diameter, leangth and weight and get a spring, viola!?!

Figured I'd at least ask. Again, I have written LaserMax and asked if they have a 20# spring, but I'm curious about what other options I have.

If you can measure what you want, wolff may have what you want on the shelf.

Wrote to gunsprings.com (Wolff) and gave them the minimum internal diameter, leangtb and weight. Got the following in return:

"I wish it was that easy.  Finding a spring to fit and function would be a time consuming proposition which is cost ineffective. I’m sorry but I don’t have the time or resources to help you with this one."

So bottom line: Not worth their time and effort.

Update: I had e-mailed LaserMax yesterday and I didn't want to be too pushy by calling the very next day... but I did just that.

The irony: LaserMax is going to confirm the black-to-green P220 spring weight change with Sig on Monday. Once they confirm the specs of the new green spring with Sig, they're going to contact Wolff, who makes all their springs for LaserMax, and have a batch made up for the new stainless slide Sigs.

So it looks possible that I might be getting a couple Wolff springs after all!
