I willprobably get flamed a bit for thisone or a suggestion for a paperweight or boat anchor... or some other blunt object of a device. But the story goes like this, I was visiting my favorite gun dealer and I from time to time help him out with some of his projects... But he got to talkin to me about his "ghetto blaster" that came in on a trade. He didnt know it didnt function properly as the seller had stated. The Ghetto Blaster in question is an A. A. Arms In. AP9 basically a slight more engineered tec-9 knock off. The problem is while it will fire it will not cycle and will not feed. As far as I know it will extract and it will eject but it just wont cycle. I took it apart and cleaned it up a tad and while it didnt fail to lock previously it does now... the only way to get the bolt to close is by pulling the trigger. from what I've read the AP9 fires fromthe closed bolt position, this does not seem like a very safe way to close the bolt while chambering a round. He got so fed up with it that he said he'd 4473 it to the next guy to say 50 bucks... So I figured I need something to beat on in my free time and I like a challenge. So I'm going to try to get this poor neglected and evil pistol to run like a top again. Any suggestions?

It feels like its binding, it takes a lot of muscle to pull the charging handle back
The bolt stops on the return forward right about where the sear catches.

Lastly... It was an impulse buy and a cheap gun for me to tinker with. Atleast I saved it from winding up in some police property room somewhere on its way to be melted.

Try covering the bolt with layout fluid. If the bolt is binding on the receiver the layout fluid will rub off.

Or use a sharpie. Run it dry and see if it rubs off anywhere.

Did this with a Colt New Service I found at a funshow years ago. Paid a bit more for it that you did for yours, but afterall, it was a New Service. Got my money's worth many times over in entertainment, and knowledge learned. Kind of like a jigsaw puzzle. And, when it was all done and I still didn't have it working, I robbed all the parts from it. Worth more in pieces than I paid for the whole broken beater. Mike

OP, you realize the dealer probably only gave the guy $50 for that gun right?
