S&W extractor pin removal

Picked up a police trade in 5906, carried a lot, fired very little. Has lots of rub marks. I would like to glass bead the whole thing, but can't figure out how to get the extractor pin out. Is it peened in place? Have a groove that locks into the extractor itself? I have pushed with a punch and gave a gentle tap or two, but not knowing exactly what keeps it in, I didn't want to go too far and damage it. The rest is completely apart, just waiting to figure this out.
