pt1911 hammer stuck at half cock
Every once in a while if I place the hammer at half cock it gets stuck in that position, won't fully cock or release. I hit it on the side several times and bang it around and then it will finally release. Any possible reasons it would do this? or how to fix the problem?
Easiest way to fix this is don't place hammer at half cock!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Time for a new hammer, sear, and someone who knows what they are doing to fit them together.
