Mainspring Housing Install Issue
I have a newly aquired Kimber with the series 2 "swartz" firing pin block. (wonderful idea)
I am attempting to put a steel mainspring housing on to replace the plastic one. (another wonderful idea)
I have an ed brown flat MSH. When I attempt to reassemble the pistol the push rod wont go down far enough to let the slide on.
Its sticks up ever so slightly but it impedes the slide.
Am I missing something?
I have other 1911's that never were an issue, albeit they were not series 2 kimbers with "extra safety features"
I have also tried an S&A MSH and the push rod sticks up the same.
