Just curious! I'd love to get a pro-model with the fiber optic front, but I do not like the factory rear.

Is the 10-8 rear sight compatible with the pro 5" F/O front?

THANKS!!!!!!

I am using a U notch 10-8 rear sight with my Pro fiber front. Hope this helps.

If its the same height as the factory rear, then yes it sure does help! I was under the impression that the front sight height was the only thing different for the pro-models. If the rears are the same as the standard models, that is great news.

Rear sights are rear sights, no difference.

I have three rear sights and my caliper. The Pro, stock rear sight is 0.140" from the top of the slide to the bottom of the notch. The standard, early sight without the cutout for slide racking of the later models, is 0.140". The new style, standard sight is 0.110". I noticed no change in my Pro and point of impact switching to the 10-8 sight.

ETA: Remeasured and changed dimensions

And the 10-8 sight is 0.140" to the bottom of the "U", so identical in height. The "U" helped me place the fiber dot in line faster, I wholly recommend this swap. Easier to carry too, no sharp edges.

Also Dawson has a huge guide for m&p sights. Have you seen the Warren tactical?
