I am looking to pick up a pair of original grips for my Model 12-2 and am wondering if any K frame grips will work?

Suggestions on where to find grips welcomed

thanks

They should. It's a K frame.

No, the Airweight K-frames require model-specific stocks until the -3 change. The frame on these guns is approximately .080" thinner than a standard frame. Regular stocks on a Model 12 will have a gap of .040" on both sides at the horns.

I found that problem on my model 12. What I did was to take each grip and lay it flat on a piece of 80 grit sand paper and sand it back and forth until the wood was even with the round metal part at the to of the grip. They fit fine and looked good after that.

every model up until the 12-4 was that thinner "KA" frame, then the 12-4 was the exact K frame dimensions

for rubber grips like Uncle Mikes or Pachmyr I just ignore the little gap at the top or put a layer of black tape or rubber glued under the horns, for wood the sanding described will fix everything

the good news is the only problem is thickness, the rest of the dimensions are the same...it is more about asthetics than shooting...
