10-8 Performance base pad or maybe just dremel the original spacer until it looks better and is slim enough to fit in pouches...

I was just coming here to ask the same thing. I can't stand the 14 round mags - WHY WHY are they so fing huge?

I put the M&P next to my FN45 (15 rounds) and the size difference isn't that big ... not 5 rounds big.

Does anyone have first hand experience with the 10-8 solution? I've got their base plates for the 9mm - and they rock. But I'm looking at $216 for 6 baseplates...ouch.

I see that photo is Isaacs... I'll ask him.

What is the width difference between the two pistols?

The FN is wider by a little bit... the mag is wider too. I guess there is always some sort of compromise when you find a gun that fits right. The FN is for fun. The M&P is for classes etc.

I will attempt a severe stipple to see what can be done before I remove it and consider an 10-8 plate.

A 3 round extender alternative I came across for any of the M&Ps.

I only have 4 of the 14 round mags but I put the 10-8 basepads on them and they are an awsome improvement and definately worth the money IMHO.

I just asked the same question, and my option is going to be to sell my M&P .45, and go get a Glock 21.

That being said...I still really like the M&P platform, and plan on buying a M&P .40 and adding .357 Sig and 9mm barrels/magazines.

I just wish the thing held 2-4 more rounds without that big ass magazine sticking out the bottom of it.

I like this look with the spacer just cut off.
