Hey guys, I just got an M&P22 pistol and of course, they have the thumb safety on, which I would like to remove. Does anyone know how to remove the thumb safety from the gun? TIA

I've seen one on here with the thumb safety removed, so I know it's possible.

Im definitely interested in this as well. I remember that s&w can sell you some black "plugs" to close the gab left by the saftey when removed

At the rear of the frame, drive out the roll pin. Pull out the internal frame far enough that you can pluck the thumb safeties off. Just make sure the the lever the thumb safety is attached to on the left side is in the down position. And the factory thumb safety plugs from S&W do no fit the M&P22. Different specs.
