Having been a big fan of these two

I decided to move into a more modern design today

A Smith and Wesson model 22-4 .
I was told it was nickel .Tried to call S&W about their product code for nickle vs stainless but tired of being on hold .
Does anyone know the product code for finish

The 22 was made with a Nickle finish, not Stainless.

SKU #150189

It's nickel plated, if it were stainless, the model number would start with a 6, so model 622, which they never made afaik.
Sweet revolver though; looks like a modernized 1917.

Damn good nickel I must say .
Any thing different in cleaning a nickel gun as opposed to any other blued firearm

Don't use any cleaners or solvents that contain ammonia on the external parts of the gun.
