I've been shooting my dad's model 52 lately, and I've only been shooting .38 wadcutters because apparently that is what it was made for. I'm curious how it would fare with normal .38 special ball ammo.
Wadcutters only. 52's actually have special load data that's reduced compared to a standard load.
Yup, wads only. It's a target gun made specifically for bulls eye shooting. They do shoot nice though.
Yeah I love shooting it. I was just hoping I could get regular ammo. There aren't too many shops around here that I know stock WC's.

Time to start reloading.

yep reloading is the answer. factory wadcutters to me are way to expensive when I can reload them for around4.50 a box. as mentioned by others the 52 is strictly designed as a bullseye target gun and is designed to only feed wadcutters- nothing else will even fit in the magazine
