Picked up a Bodyguard 380 this weekend... haven't fired it yet because i'm having a heck of a time with the take down lever... can't rotate it to the 6 o'clock position like the manual says without using a tool, like pushing it down with a flat head screwdriver, and even at that the lever won't come out until i rotate it to about 7 or 8 o'clock.... anybody else having this problem??? wondering if I have a defective pistol or if this is common on the bodyguard.... Thanks!!!!

Mine did the same thing untill I got some CLP in it. Loosened up a bit. I struggled with it and finally used my Leatherman with some tape on the pliers. Don't pull the take down lever all the way out!!! It is a pain in the ass to get back in!
Use some lube. I put about 100 rds through mine and it is AWESOME! Only thing I don't like is how quickly the laser lens gets dirty. Yes, I know it is at the muzzle and will get fouled, I just think a small shroud aroundthe lens might help reduce the fouling.
You need to rotate it to the 9:oclock position.
Read this for the right tool.

use your credit card to gently move it down, mine has done that since day one and its totally normal
Thanks guys, I was hoping I could avoid sending it in....
