Correct M&P9 Sight Picture
I'm thinking of getting a M&P9 with standard sights. Can anyone tell me what the sight picture of your M&P9 with standard sights looks like? (I have the M&P9 VTAC model and I know it is different than with standard sites. It's actually difficult for me to hit the bullseye with the VTAC sights on the first shot, I ususally have to correct up).
Is it A, B, or C below?
Thanks

The VTAC sight picture is below:

Thanks for the replies.
The reason I ask is that I want to also use it for steel shoots and USPSA production class. When shooting quickly I tend to look over the sights slightly.
To hit the bullseye...
I find that My Glock 19 with Heine 8's and my Kimber as well as all my other 1911's require a sight picture as in #1 (where I can see my target) however, my HK USP 40 requires a sight picture as in #3 (thus covering the target, making it even harder to hit the bullseye the farther out it is). I don't use the HK in competitions for that reason.
At distances up to 50 yards I find the sight picture required to hit the bullseye does not change, if anything I tend to shoot low and left the farther out I go but that is me. If I take my time and press correctly, the bullet goes exactly where it is supped to ie., all of my handguns shoot better than I do but the sight picture does change depending upon which weapon I'm handling.
The way I think about my shooting at a target is...it's either a bigger target (close) or a small target (farther away). I really don't think about distance and don't account for bullet drop. At those distances the bullet drop seems negligible. Only in very, very close shooting do I adjust the sight picture for sight over bore offset.
My Pro 9 was supposed to shoot type C, but it shot way low. I had to put Dawson adjustable sights on it to get it to shoot type A. I prefer type A.
Really all 3 of those sight pictures are correct, the front sight is centered horizontally and vertically in the rear sight. For me A is the easiest alignment to keep consistent from shot to shot.
I have never seen that VTAC sight, what is the improvement that these are supposed to provide. It looks very complicated to me to try to align that middle green dot with your target. If I had them I would align them Just like picture B.

Agreed.

C for 115gr, 124 and a for 147. of course it varies with the shooter
My 4" 9mm shoots 115gr with the C sight picture. I just picked it up a couple of weeks ago so I haven't shot other bullet weithts out of it.
I've owned 10 M&Ps in 9mm, .40, and .45. With the exception of the 5" 9 Pro that shot "C", all them shot "B" beyond 10 feet.

Did it and bought the M&P9 4.25"bbl. Mine does the same as yours does. Closer than 10 feet the sight over bore makes it shoot "C" but beyond 10 feet it shoots "B". I like it better than my other one with the VTAC sights.
The other handgun I was considering was a G17 C with the ported bbl. As stated above I wanted something I could use for "gaming", but decided that if I was ever allowed to carry, it would be my G19 or the M&P9. Also being 5'6" the longer bbl would make the draw from a standard holster slower. I want to shoot production class with a holster that I would actually use to carry rather than a speed holster.
ETA: spelling and grammar
Under 25 yards, my fullsize m&p 9 and 9c both shoot "B".
With any grain bullet really.
My M&P9c definately shoots best when using sight picture C. It has taken me a while to get use to this because the rest of my pistols are sight picture B.
