M&P 22? How does it run?
Thinking of getting rid of my sig misquito and picking up a m&p 22. Anyone have one? How is it?
I just got one. was gonna shoot it today but it was raining.. As far as how it feels, its nice. Just like the full size 9/40. I ordered 3 extra mags and am getting a thread adapter. Good luck with it!
Runs like a top with all ammo that I put thru it; 4-5 different types including subsonic. The only problem is getting spare mags, but I hear that should be fixed soon.
Anyone know if its possible to remove the thumb safety?
Yes it is. Somewhere around here someone did a write up on how to take it off.
Great pistol, have ran over 3500 rounds of cheap Remington thru mine with no problems. Replace the sights with the stock sights of my M&P 9. Nice improvement.
ok thanks now all i have to do is find one. Any ideas?

Are the dovetails the same size on the M&P 22 as they are on the standard M&P handguns? I would like to put night sights on my M&P 22 and was just wondering if I would need to have the dovetails opened up or not. Thanks.
Rear stock S&W sight went on with no problem, on the front sight had to file a little off the bottom on the sight post because it didn't clear the top of the slide. I believe the Novak sights go on with no problem, call them to clarify.

Thank you. I'll reply back here with results.

The dovetails are pretty close. The front dovetail has changed a bit since the new slides.
First 100 or so rounds I had about 1 FTE for every two mags, sometimes every mag. Came home, cleaned it up. Next trip out, again 100 or so rounds, and only 1 FTE all day.
Bulk Federal Champion ammo
It sure is cheap to shoot, but I'm shooting it a ton too. Too much fun. Nothing like finishing the day at the range by doing some rapid fire. It isn't loud, but draws plenty of attention.
ben
Have 200 rounds through mine using CCI minimags. No FTF/ FTE. My only complaint is the stock sights, which will be fixed soon.
Spoke to Novak today and the gentleman advised that they do not make a compatable sight set for the M&P 22. I will be watching everyone's progress on this matter. I want to do something with the sights soon. Thanks guys.

Thanks for that update, now I have to find another set of sights for mine.
FWIW, got the shipping label today for ours, going out Monday. Firing pin return spring isn't springing, so the hammer is not striking the firing pin. Low-ish serial number though, so we'll see what happens.

How many rounds through yours?

About 300. Was going to send it off today, but the roads were absolute shit and the nearest FedEx is a half hour drive.

I wonder if something got in the FP channel and is hanging it up somehow.
