I paid $999 + tax for mine last weekend at Buds. They seemed to have no problem getting rid of them for that price.

I was about to pull the trigger at $960 from a local pawn shop that utilizes Davidson's or some large online system and it sold right out of my cart. Now I can't find any retailers w/ stock available other than on GunBroker. They seem to be selling for $1000 w/o issues...

'Normal' price on the MK25 right now is going to be about $1K....which is about $100 more than what it was going for last month. I ordered mine for just over $900 total from Buds last month, but as others have stated already the price is now $999. Other models have suffered the same or worse mark-up. The M11-A1 was going for high $800s last month and now it is also around the 1K mark also. I wasn't so lucky with that one, but, hey, it could be up another $100 a month from now if the climate doesn't improve; that might be a positive way to look at the current prices.

I've been looking for one for a couple of months now. Local shop said Sig has a back order 4200 deep for them. On Gunbroker they all seem to sell in the $1200 range and they just aren't worth that much to me so I've been checking with the usual online retailers almost daily and haven't had any luck.

is this back order info accurate? what do you think the wait time would be with that kind of backlog? 6 months?

Theres a mk25 at my local shop, but they only have the display unit left and im kind of wary of buying it when hundreds of other people have been f'ing around with it. was going to get a brand new one on order.

So, I've been told that the only difference between the 226 MK25 and the standard 226 is the anchor on the slide. Any other factory upgrades to warrant spending the extra money?

The Mk25 comes with NS, true 1913 rail, 3 phosphated mags (mec-gar - standard 226 may come with Checkmates) and phosphated control/internals. For me, the biggest reason to choose the Mk25 over a new P226 is that the Mk25 comes with the short external extractor which is proven to work, while the P226 comes with the looong extractor that isn't as tested.

I wanted the standard rail. It does make finding a holster a bitch though.

I just bought one, price was about what it was selling for when I started looking. Mags aren't easy to find though

any idea of the blackhawk SERPAs will work on the MK25 gun?

Skip the SERPA, it's garbage, IMO. Safariland makes an ALS model for the Mk25, which is a much better holster.

What's a nib German mk25 frame gun worth, compared to the all US made mk25 gun?

What would you pay, which one would you like more and why?

Any advice you can give, for which one to focus on, when we're shopping for gifts, would be appreciated.

They should be the same price. There's no difference between a German frame and US frame.
