One thing that irks me is the fact SIG only includes one Mag with the P238. It's like how the ice cream makers went form 1/2 gal to 1.75qts tp 1.5qts... anyway back to the Mags. I see there are two (or maybe 3) companies that make mags that should fit the P238 not including SIG.
I have seen MetalForm, PROmag and Colt (I think is made by MetelForm) Does anybody have any reports with any of these brands? I know that PROmag has had some junk (like the M14/M1A). I don't know anything about MetalForm. I think I may try some and hope for the best but looking for input. I kind of want to stay away from SIG mags just because they don't include a 2nd mag. I know they are going to work falwlessly but it's just the principle.
Thanks
Another question. will the 7 round mag that fits the Colt 380 Government model also fit the SIG P238? If so does anybody know if you can just buy the plastic bumper/extension that is on the SIG 7 round mag?
I went with the blued Colt mags from Midway. They are like 19 bucks and work perfectly.

6 or 7 round?
I guess I am going to have to find out what works... I tried a friend's 380 Colt Gov mags and they fit. I found some mags made by MetalForm at CDNN for 12.99. They are blued and I am ok with that. I will let you know if they work. I also got the 7 rd mags also for 14.99. I don't like the bumper on the bottom. I am going to cut that off and see if I can find the SIG style.

Found that the Colt Mustang mags are a tad different. They will work. I will post pictures of the differences later. And not a bad deal for 12.99
Those mags still working ok for you? I see mixed reviews on the web for the mustang mags in a P238.
The MetalForm Mags woked for me. I had no probems and no jams, slide locked back. For 12.99 I think the blued MetalForm ones are just fine.
The are 2 differences that I can see. One is the fowler and the other is the floor plate is longer and sticks out of the frame (like a 1911)
Here are some pictures I took
Here are the fowlers. The one on the left is the sig design. Again they both locked the slide back just fine.
Floor plate sticking out
Sig style
Side by side
and a file to the bluded one makes it fit the same as the sid style

Nice!! Thanks for the heads up. 13 bucks is way better than 40 for the factory sig mags. From what I've seen it looks like the Colt manufactured mustang mags have a different cut at the front of the mag which might account for some of the problems when people use them in the Sig. Those metalform mags appear to have the same "cut" at the front of the mag near the top as the factory Sig mags.
