I just singed up for a 10 hour class to get my CHL, I am doing the paper work on line for the Texas application and I have come to a part that asks for either standard or indigent. I have tried to figure out what it means but am having difficulty determining what the differences are other than the price.

If you weren't military, or over 65 I believe, it's standard. I just went through that whole thing last week, the wait is already killing me!

The difference is price. If you are indigent (poor), you get a reduced price. Welfare comes in all shapes and forms.

Indigent, you've gotta make less than $7,470 a year to be considered that. If you make more, it's standard.
