I'm new to AKs, I'll be picking up my first tomorrow, Draco with wood furniture for $385.

Anyways, what are some good magazines to pick up for it and where is the best place to buy them.

Thanks guys

If your Draco is 7.62x39 then any Com-Bloc steel magazine will work fine. Avoid USA made mags. Avoid Korean made mags. AIM Surplus has good prices, cheap shipping and pretty damn good Customer Service. A link to their site is in the banners above.

Best mag for a Draco is a drum....

Get the Eastern European 30 rounders from AIM. Best deal out there on some great Chugo mags.

yes sir. My closet is full of them. They sell the Bulgarians also but they have a plastic follower. I have some of them also and it really doesn't make a difference, but with them being the same price now, (bulgys used to be cheaper) I would go for the East Europeans.

Personally, I like the look of the 20 round mags better on the Draco. I have 30 round mags I use occassionally on the Draco but usually keep the 20 rounders for the Draco. Unfortunately, 20 rounders are not currently listed on AIM Surplus. I also like the drum on the Draco.

Cheaper than dirt has Hungarian unissued 20rd "tanker" mags available. They are kind pricey at $22, but I have a few for my Dracos and Mini Draco.

Not a bad deal. Aim used to have the same but I believe they were a little cheaper. Guess the supply is drying up.
