Hey guys...wanted to let you know we are doing a limited (around 20) production of 5.45 RPK's. They are pricy but I've shot it and it's worth it...trying to get the owner to give me a company discount but it's hard for him to justify when he only made 20...and quite frankly I understand his position. Anyway you check it out on K-Var's sight.

Way to steep for the majority of people.

Not worth it when in a few years 74 kits will be coming in at a much more affordable price. But if you need to have one then go for it.

How's your [Vartan Barsoumian, Arsenal, Inc.] support for Harry Reid working out for you?

Your prices are running you out of business... are you better off making $500 per rifle and selling 2000 rifles at $1,000,000 profit, or 20 rifles for $1000 at $20,000 profit? I own two of your rifles, a milled carbine I paid $750 new at a dealer and a SLR105 I paid $400 from the same place when you first started. Your prices were reasonable then. When dealers can't sale you're stuff, they will quit ordering them from you. Maybe then, Arsenal will rethink there marketing. If you want to make good profits, you should at least build the SVD. Now you could sale these for $2000 without issue.

Ask your boss if he actually listens to what customers want. If you get hundreds of emails about making a krinkov or RPK in 5.45, why would you only release 20, and therefore have a customer support base of only 20 people? The price is outrageous for a firearm that functions just as well as a vector arms RPK-74. If I was spending $2000 on a rifle.... hell I would be buying 2 or 4 different rifles instead. What are they smoking at Arsenal?

...yeah right! Those fuckers hold shit back and sell it in small batches to maximize profit. Don't get me wrong I'm a capitalist just like the next guy. I just wish someone would step up to the plate and give these Bulgarians some friggin' competition. We need another Chief Thunder!

$2k for this? You want me to pay that much? You would have more luck trying to get a donation for Harry Reid.

I don't think their marketing is a problem. I agree that Arsenal's stuff is grossly over-priced, but apparently I'm in the minority.

I gotta agree as well, of all the AK's out there, I just haven't been sold on paying what the asking prices are for the Arsenal products. This IS an AK based system, and the whole point of it in the first place, was to robust, reliable, and INEXPENSIVE.

Just imagine if Chevrolet sold a cheap Corvette that went 200 miles an hour, and Cadillac sold an expensive corvette that went 200 miles an hour, and did nothing but rebadge it from Chevy to Cadillac, thats kind of how I see it. Only the people that wanted the Caddy name would spring for the 100, 000 badge, and they have enough cheese in the first place that it would make no difference about the price.

Instead of 20 guns, at 2000,00 each, I would be a hell of alot more impressed if they could make 200 at a thousand each.

Lots of places can make one or two expensive things, but it took Henry Ford to make lots of inexpensive things, and when you look back, how many old fords are out there, compared to the few vehicles from the more expensive companies, that existed in the same time, not to mention, how many of those early companies are still in business today?

Lots of reliable production, makes you viable, and the shame is, the few good products they did make, at a reasonable price, such as the 16" 223 krinks, seem to be here and gone, then going for too much money in the secondary market.

Arsenal is not a manufacturer of AK's, they manufacture Novelty Items, that appear to be AK's.
