those are all 7.62x39 rifles.maybe the mags threw you off.the mags are russian bakelite mags that are pretty scarce.
I think the flash hider is probably what threw him off at first glance. With the dimpled sides, it looks very much like a Romanian RPK or very early Russian RPK. Great rifles!

Damn, it's not an RPK-74

The flash hider and bakelite mag are what threw me off. I thought it was a 30-round EG Bakelite. I didn't pay attention to the curvature. Regardless, it's still sexy.
