CAI has recently been marketing Polish underfolders (7.62x39) and has stated that they are an "upgrade" over the WASR folders. CAI is apparently scrubbing the trunnion markings from these rifles. So, my question is, how do we tell if the rifle is of Polish origin. As far as I can tell, the only external identifier is that these rifles have Polish wooden handguards. I'm not saying that the kits these were built from aren't of Polish origin, but rather want to know how one can tell them apart from other european-made AK's. Anyone have one of these that can comment?
I don't know exactly I looked at one, but didn't look at the trunnions too closely but from just heft and a brief overlook I would say it seemed better than the average WASR underfolder.
I heard they were nice builds. Unfortunately Classic Arms, J&G, and Henderson are all out of them. I called Century today, and they told me that they don't know when/if they will get any more. Anyone know who still has some of these in stock?
WOW! those sold out pretty fast. glad i got mine when i did.
