Polish Tantal Stock Question

I was looking at getting a Polish Tantal in 5.45x39
I have one question though, would it be possible to change the wire folding stock to something like the one in this picture?

would it be possible
yes.
you would need to remove the rear trunnion, and cut the rear of the receiver to accept a side folding trunnion then rivet it in. Then you'll have to cut a slot on the side of the receiver, and drill a hole underneath your front trunnion to install the stock retaining catch.

And how hard would that be to do for someone with no experience with power tools?

Pretty rough - your best bet would be to send it out to a reputable builder.
