Well, I know something is up with my rifle. The sights do not line up. In order to get them to line up, I have to get a cheek weld further to the right on the stock.
I want to say the sight is canted, I'm HOPING the barrel isn't bent. I don't think it is, I took a t-square and flipped the rifle upside down, bumped it against the trigger guard, and
the t-square lined up all the way down the center of the receiver along the barrel out to the muzzle just fine. So I think I'm good there. Here's some pics though, tell me
what you guys think, sights or barrel.
I bought this off of a class 07/SOT manufacturer out of Ohio, on gunbroker about 2 years ago, only shot it twice since I've had it, and they have a 1 year warranty, so I
think I may be SOL. I'm going to try contacting them anyway and seeing if they can do something to fix this.
I have a Chicom AK that had a similar problem. When trying to figure it out I noticed that when I look straight down on the rear sight leaf it was canted to the right. What eventually fixed it was replacing it with a windage adjustable rear sight leaf. It only took a few clicks of windage adjustment to get groups centered and it allows the front sight to remain centered.
This was an easier fix than sending it to an AK "smith".
if you put a t square on this and it was straight all the way to the muzzle. then i would have to say your rear sight is canted to the right and the front sight is canted to the left. theres no way your able to hit shit at any far distance. get it fixed dont do adjustable windage adjustments. you would have them maxed all the way out and still wouldnt be able to make any type of windage adjustment that you would need for a distance shot. do the right thing
i will say that thing looks like someone leaned it against the wall and kicked it on the left side right where the barrel meets the receiver. your rear sights are definitely messed up.
