 Accessory questions about the Tantal

Right now i'm looking at getting an AR-15, but if I can't get that then I'd really like to get the Tantal because the ballistics of the 5.45x39mm are similar to the 5.56 XM193 and surplus 5.45 ammo is hella cheap.

So, my first question is: Could I augment the Tantal with an Ultimak rail? I ask because I really dont want to get any tactical carbine if I can't outfit it with a red dot sight, and I know that I can't put the commie scope rail on it

My second question is: Could I replace the folding stock with an extended Arsenal stock? I'm 6.4 and the length of pull on that folding stock looks WAY too small for me. Also, I can't rest my cheek on the folding wire-stock.

I've seen pictures posted of Tantals with the Ultimak rails mounted so I guess it's possible. Putting a Nato length butt stock on is pretty straight forward. Take off the pistol grip screw, pistol grip, and nut. Remove the one screw holding the folding stock assembly to the trunion. Sometimes, depending on who did the build, you will have to drive two small roll pins down and out from the trunion. Pull the stock assembly out and fit a new stock assembly using two screws to the trunion.

You can put an Ultimak rail on the Tantal. Since the front handguard retainer is unique, you must cut off the top portion with a grinder or a dremel. It still works to hold the lower handguard.
