Tantal side rail finally installed!

So I got the new side rail installed finally, looks and works great. Haven't had a chance to sight in the scope....will post a range report once I do though. I also got a Mac 11 trigger boot for the bolt handle that works nicely and makes it easier to grab.

Tantal over at Avtomats made a run of them, they are good quality. I recommend them for optics on a tantal because you end up with a more stable mounting platform than a normal AKM rail due to the extra thickness and the way they are mounted using 4 rivets.

I didn't install mine, I had it done by a gunsmith, but thanks anyway...as for cost, the rail was about $80, high price but worth it to me anyway.

Range report???? Took mine out the other day. No scope but I still love how accurate it is at a distance for an AK.

Mine does pretty well with iron sights, but is near tac driverish with the scope. Once I had it zeroed I landed 2 out of 3 shots right next to eachother, no gap at 100 yards. That was my best out of several groups, but I would have to say on average it did $.50 cent piece sized groups. Which I was pretty impressed with, and no keyholes...
