U/F or Tantal?

Have two kits of each and am ready to have one sent in for construction. Have ammo and rifles in both calibers so not really a prob there. What say you? Polish Underfolder or Tantal. All 4 kits excellent with original barrels.

I would do the Tantal. I have 2, a Lancaster and an Interarms. Love them both. Plus, theres plenty of cheap surplus right now that you can take advantage of.

Tantal all the way. There are many underfolders out there, but the Tantal is rare indeed.

I'll be the odd ball and say UF! There is something sexy about the polish underfolder..
I never liked the non-functioning left hand safety on the tantal builds. I don't like having do-nothing widgets on my rifle :D
However, I do like 5.45x39.

My '85 PMKMS is hands down one of the most accurate AK's I own...even with the terrible cheek weld afforded by the underfolder.

I think so, @ least they were a few days ago. Looking over CAI's website, they seem to come in several different barrel twist rates. Not sure what that's about. I have one of the "old, bad" Tantals that I bought last Spring from J&G in Arizona. Contrary to all the bad press that the CAI Tantals were getting back then (re keyholing), mine doesn't swallow the bullet & doesn't seem to keyhole. Guess I just got lucky.
