 Tantal brake question

I've noticed that the ring at the base of the muzzle brake is sort of loose. Not the ring that fits over the threads, but the ring that goes around the brake...

What would cause this, and what would I do to remedy that?

Thanks

it's supposed to be that way, has something to do with launching small rifle grenades

Thanks!
Yeah, it didn't seem as if it surved any sort of purpose, or would hamper the performance of the rifle.

I removed both of mine. They serve no practical purpose for an average guy.

You will regret it when "Red Dawn II" comes to your neighborhood and your not able to launch a Anti-Tank Rifle Grenade against the invaders!!
