I have a polish tantal, and I just got a few east German mag pouches, they came with cleaning kits...but the brushes won't fit the rod that came with my rifle, rod is too small...any thoughts? I also tried attaching the east German brushes to my regular cleaning rods and no go, different size. I can clean the rifle fine with what I have, but it'd be nice to be able to use the EG brushes that I have. Are there cleaning kits out there meant for the tantal and the super small rod is comes with?

this is the kits that i have

As was suggested in the other thread where you asked this question:

Don't use that cheap cleaning gear. Just get a .22 cal boresnake and be done with it.

Boresnake is definitely the way to go.

I agree the most practical way is a boresnake, however, I would like to know what is correct and what is available just for collection. The kits are kind of neat and the idea of having everything you need to service the gun in the stock or pouch is cool.
