AK manufacture dates?
Is the 4 digit number preceeding the serial number the date of manufacture?
That depends on who made the rifle.
Soviet rifles had the actual date.
Other makers used various codes.
+1. We'd really need to know what the country's particular rifle or kit you have.
It's a Romanian Wasr 10. Appears to be an older one however without the shinney finish. Yje fist digits are 1073 in larger letters then the following serial number.
