Well I just got back from the range test firing the one I'm leaning towards buying. It's only been a rental gun a few months and no one had rented it (big ar nuts at this store) so the ak and the ar15 they have see all the action. I rented her and put 40 rounds through her and I couldn't believe how accurate this weapon was. I believe it's made on a caspian reciever and they wanted 650 comes with one mag etc and wondered generally how good a gun are these. I keep hearing bad things about the Century Golani's but this one was nice?
Anyway let me know what am I in for if I buy this gun? Is price ok etc?

Since you already got to test it out and it sounds like it ran OK for you I would say buy it. A lot of the issues were had with most of the older Golani's and a few people I believe have mentioned some issues with the newer GLN ones however most that have the GLN "Caspian" receivers seem to like them. I have a GLN myself and have put a couple hundred rounds through it and have only had maybe one or two FTE's that I would blame on the ammo not the gun. It's a solid gun for the price IMHO.
if the rental gun was trouble free, buy the rental gun!!! a different golani may/may not give u problems.
+1 Buy it! $650 sounds like a fair price... unless you go on GB, then it is a steal.

If you had no issues with it, you should have a reliable Golani. Those AR guys don't know what they are missing.
No to hi-jack the thread, but I am thinking about getting a Golani too. What kind of accuracy should I expect ?
