Is there any chance Valmet would import single stack rifles?

Valmet hasn't made firearms in years. They currently make cabriolet bodies for Porsche.

Sako and Valmet merged about 1995...they are a huge worldwide conclomerate that makes just about everything, here in Wisconsin until recently, they made logging and paper making machines, but are phasing out production here due to the world economy. Sako still has all the tooling to make more AK's for the Finnish Government, and still make spare parts for the weapons currently in inventory, but the Finnish government has refused to fund manufacture of new rifles, and have instead bought imported Chinese AK's for their second line troops. I do not believe Sako any longer offers their small arms for export. but I suppose, anything is possible. I LOVE Valmet rifles, and own a few, but in all practical circumstances, a Saiga will do the job with almost as much quality. Just my IMHO...

Right,
Valmet doesn't have a weapons industry anymore but they (SAKO/Valmet) have all the equipment to start the manufacturing once again.

They make tractors too

Valmet rifles are very reliable and accurate weapons. I wouldn't compare Saiga to a Valmet... They are both black but thats it ;)...
Just kidding, Saigas can be good but cannot match the quality of a Valmet or Sako AK's.
