Tightening Grenade Sight Edit for new issue
My returned/new Yugo has a little problem. After several rounds the grenade sight wants to creep upward. Of course this then blocks the iron sights.
I thought it was a simple tightening of the nut, but when I was cleaning it, yesterday, I noticed the slot is interrupted by the bolt that runs through it.
Is there a special tool for this?
I made my own. I took a large straight bladed screwdriver and put a notch in it to clear the bolt but engage the slot.

I was thinking about that. I got plenty of extra screwdrivers. I guess I will do that. Thanks.
Made my own tool, but doesn't seem to wanna tighten up enough. I will shoot it Saturday to be sure, but it still seems a bit loose.
I took it off and even squeezed the ends with the detents, thinking this would help tighten it up, but doesn't seem to have helped enough.
Ok, I need some expert Yugo help, here.
Test fired the Yugo, today. Grenade sight stayed down alittle better, but still not happy about it. But a new problem arose.
I could only get one shot at a time. I figured out I must have put the (I don't know the name) crossbolt back in wrong. The bolt would not go to the rear so I figure it was not getting enough gas. I thought no problem, I'll just take the bolt out and turn it around. Stupid me forgot my new homemade tool.
When I got home I was trying to carefully pull it out so I was sure which way the slot was facing. It came out quicker than I was expecting and I'm not sure.
I tried lining it up so when the sight is down the notch in the cross bolt is facing the barrel or down, if you will. Seems the gas holes in the barrel and gas tube are more to the bottom than the top. The range is so far away I may not get back too quick. I will remember to take my tool with me next time.
Till then any of you guys had yours apart and know which way the notch goes? I figure it can only go up or down since the area under the threads is machined to fit in the slot of the actual sight.
Never mind, I figured it out and test fired it, today. Dang grenade sight still won't stay down. I'm getting an ultimak rail, so I will cut it down and push the flashlight mount against it, that should hold it down.
