I snagged this D prefix 24 million series (1980) Factory 26 this morning at a yard sale for $50.00. It had it's cleaning kit but I added the sling. All matching.

This is the first un-dinked with 24 million I've seen with a wood HG. Most were of the plastic "french tickler" type. That said it is early (39000+) in the series.

Made in 1979 if it's a Factory 26. You can't really date the other factorys.

1956 (Type 56) + the million series.

If it's less than 1 million the it was made in 1956, 1 mil. '57, 2 mil. '58....You get the picture.

Wow. $50 Huh. Wow

I'm guessing you just asked if they had any guns they wanted to sell, and they showed you this one and said $50?

Yep....Pretty much.

The guy had a set of new leather/Gortex combat boots out so when I see that type of stuff I always ask. Lots of retired military in my area of YS operations as this guy was so it always a good idea to ask for guns when you see military stuff out.

I just realized that I must be slipping....Damn....I did not even try to get him down in price on the SKS but I did get the boots cheaper.

Meh....I just made-up for the $275.00 I spent a week or so ago for this well-worn all-matching non-import marked 11 million series ('67) Factory 26.
