 Russian sling?

Anybody know where to find a Russian sling? Chicoms are all over GB.

How about a cleaning kit?

I picked up what appears to be a late Tula, and I'd like to keep it as close to original as I can.

ETA: Another question. Are 3 digit serial numbers common?

The standard AK sling should work fine on the Russian SKS

An AK sling will work but it's not what was originally used by the Soviets. Even finding a photo of the original slings is tough

On gunbroker..... http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/SearchResults.aspx

Sometimes "Correct" and "Original" are two different things.
Correct slings:
1. Romanian
2. Chinese (as brought back from Vietnam)
3. Russian (as imported NIB both rifle and sling) - not a rework
4. Chinese (also imported NIB both rifle and sling) - not a rework

I wouldn't use that sling page as gospel on SKS slings. Good photos of some unusual slings but claiming the difference between a Soviet made AK and SKS sling is a slight color difference? Yeah...

The sling on my Russian is exactly like the one on the third rifle down.

That's what the Russians slapped on it to fill the need. It's not what was originally issued back in the old days. It'll work, but there's a different sling out there.
