I have a spike bayonet on my Norinco.
Should I sharpen it?

The leading edge should be profiled like a chisel. It shouldn't be sharp like a spear.

Bayonets are thrusting implements and not meant to be cutting or slashing.

It doesn't have to be sharp.
Try jamming the bayonet through some 1/4" plywood,
then ask yourself if the bayonet could penetrate a human.
