I am pretty sure it is an aftermarket Chinese, but the ones I have seen all have stars stamped in the side.

+1, I have never seen nor heard of any other country making the 20 round SKS mag, as stated and I also agree with they usually have the red star on both sides......
The "Star-less" twenty round internal mag is far less common, but both were made by the Chinese.
Some of these from both ilks can have trouble feeding if more than 16-18 rounds are loaded. Some feed all twenty. Some have feed lip issues, some don't.
But if you get one that had feed issues, don't give up on it. Most can be tweaked into satisfactory performance condition.
I have a Star Mag that had a catchy follower, but now feeds well. Still, I think it is over-hyped as an accessory. It still takes two stripper clips full to load it.
I bought a few new in the wrap like the one in the auction. IMO I wouldn't waste my money, like others have said it is Chinese but needs tweaking and may never work properly all the time. I paid around $50 a mag a few years ago. Stick with the factory 10 rounder, nothing works better.
