Action play in stock
Hey guys, Ive had a sino-soviet SKS for 5 years now, shot it quite a bit but have just noticed there's 1/16th" of horizontal play between the action and the stock when its assembled. Im thinking of glass bedding it but does anyone else have any experience with this, if so what did you do that worked?
Thanks guys
You might try to add a shim to the recoil lug/stock croos bolt.
Piece of thin cardboard at rear of recvr to push action forward against recoil lug is the easiest and quickest method.
One of mine had some play in it ,front to back, not side to side, and I epoxy bedded the front of the stock where it slides into under the handguard/gastube.
