Krinkov in 7.62 -- how??
I believe a krink is designed around the 5.45x39mm caliber. I bought one of the kits from RGuns and will be buying the barrel when they become available. But I do want a 7.62mm krink (called a suchka??) –– arfcom way is get both.

Is it possible to covert a 5.45x39mm kit to 7.62 w/ the necessary parts or are they two different beasts??
If they are too different, how would I go about building a 7.62mm version of a krink –– i.e. are there similar kits that can be modded or is it best to purchase a full rifle and get it cut down?
Thanks much!
ETA: Want it to be a side folder or fixed stock (that I can covert to a side folder). Not interested in under folders.
Easiest option is to just yourself a Yugo M92 kit.
They are similar to the Bulgarian and Russian krink, just have a slightly longer barrel. They shoot 7.62 and have an underfolder stock.
Complete kits with barrel cost about $850. Converting the tula kit for 7.62 would be tough since no barrels are easily found and I'm not so sure the M92 parts would work on a Tula kit.
So yeah, easiest way really is to get both

You don't need to go the kit route, start looking for an Arsenal 107UR. They are factory krinks (7.62x39) with 16" barrels. The other option is to find a Yugo krink kit, they are also 7.62x39. Good luck and post pics when you get her built!
Really like mine, very fun to shoot. It is a post sample FA
Built from a 1995 Yugo kit

I think this is the way I'm going to go if I can't find a kit. I'll definitely be posting pics.
I probably should have qualified that I was looking for a side folder kit or a kit I could turn into a side folder. For some reason, I'm just not a fan of the under folders.

Yeah, I saw those –– I'm just not a fan of underfolders.
Thanks for the input!

Hmm ... I wonder ... are the M92 kits easy to convert to side folders?? Obviously the stock and rear trunion would need to be switched out. And the correct receiver would be needed.
Is there anything else I'm missing??
seen it done, and they look nice too

In my opinion, if you've ever built a kit before, you'd realize just how boring it is to go out and buy an Arsenal. Sadly, due to the "barrel ban", this forum may as well be renamed the "Arsenal 107UR" forum.
If you buy it, it will be just another gun. If you build it, it will be so much more satisfying.
There are still M92 demilled kits available.

Yeah ... I've been getting into AK's recently and am excited to build my own. I've got the 5.45 kit from RGuns coming and w/ an M92 kit (modified to a side folder, of course), I'll have one of each.

I can't wait to start working on my AKs. Soooo excited.

I dont understand why you would say that a kit gun is better than a factory gun. Do you actually build them yourself or send them off to get built by someone else? Wouldnt it be the same thing?

You can put whatever stock you want on it. Just buy the parts for the stock and send them to the builder instead of the underfolder stuff.
Sweet. I'm in talks to purchase the M92 kit now. I can hardly wait til I get both the 5.45 and 7.62 up and running at the same time. This is gonna rock!
I would REALLY like my M92 underfolder to be a side-folder.
But alas, it's built and registered.
I'd vote for build the R-Guns kit to as original as possible. Then buy a Romy "Draco" and SBR it for a 7.62 "Krink".
YMMV
Monkey wrench, you can get your m92 converted to side folder. It is expensive through, about 300 plus parts. Rifle dynamics can do it for you. Underfolder might be more difficult but I'm sure its doable. I'm thinking of geting my sgl31 converted to side folder.

last option is to wait for the very elusive Bulgarian 7.62 krink kit. Looks the same as the 5.45 krink externally, but has different bolt/carrier/barrel/trunnion. m92's are nice (have one too)...but not the same.
If you just want a sidefolding krink (short barreled 7.62))...If you are building a M92 from a kit..I think you can use the ak-builder khyber pass flat, haven't done it, but seems like the easiest way. or buy a draco, fill out your form or perm attached an barrel extension and then add a stock. An AK gunsmith can change out the rear trunnion no problem. The rear trunnion in the draco is already setup for an underfolder.
i found my 7.62 bulgy krink on these sales forums, but have still yet to build it.

I emailed them on Monday, no response.
I need to know what to do also, as my brother is trying to build one, and not spend 2K

NDS khyber pass receiver
yugo m-92 kit
bulgy folder and trunnion
That was my recipe. At the time the underfolder parts were really hard to find so i was able to sell the underfolder stock, but the m92 rear trunnion wont hold a non hinged dust cover.
If i had to do it again, it would be draco + fixed stock trunnion + wire folder and be done for half the cost.
