UPS just arrived with my new krink. It was originally a chinese AK47 which was converted to this beauty by Inrange. Been waiting for a while and what a great early Xmas gift. Cannot wait to put some lead down range this Saturday.

Yes, this is a registered full auto NFA gun and yes, I will be buying lots more ammo...lol.
The gun is chambered in 7.62x39.

Sorry for the crappy pics. My camera blows and does not do the gun justice.

NICE! I'm kinda new to the AK stuff but when you alter a NFA gun like that how does it effect the value? More curious than anything. Looks great though.

The value is based upon a lot of variables, especially with krinks. First, was the original host an underfolder or full stock AK? Who did the conversion? What kind of kit was used...etc...

In general, krinks in 7.62x39 are a bit rarer than one chambered in 5.45x39mm. Though I like the 5.45mm krinks, I wanted one that will take drums and catch your eye brows on fire when shooting it. Believe it or not, the 7.62x39 krinks are not that bad to shoot because a lot of the energy is used up in the spectacular fireball it throws..lol..

I bought the AK for enjoyment vs value and will enjoy it for years to come. Lucky for me, I was able to obtain another complete bulgarian kit for 7.62x39 to keep this bad boy running and running.

If your wondering what I have vested in this thing well here is the break down. Original host was 14k, the parts kit was 1k and the conversion job was $800.00 Is it worth all that? In this market, probably not. In a few years, possibly. Do I care much? Nope...

Ask any harley rider what his 25k bike is worth now after owning it several years....Doubt NFA will depreciate that much..

For those in the MI area, your welcome to join me at the range some time and put a mag thru it.

Merry Xmas

That is sweet, you don't happen to live in the W. Michigan area do you? I would love to take you up on that offer.

Unfortunately, no. I am on the other side of the state. We are going to the pit Saturday to break it in so if you bored, come on over.

thats awesome, thanks for the reply. I was mainly wondering about the value later and you explained it all pretty well. I like the switch you did. I form 1'd a 6920 and people were telling me that was stupid. It was what I wanted and I enjoy it.

Post a vid of that bad boy ripping through some mags when you can!

Amen!

The point isn't always about cost effectiveness, it's about enjoying what you get. Sometimes getting what you want costs more than a little...and if you get what you are after it's completely worth it. I used to get in arguments all the time with a former coworker who complained originally about my SLR105's cost and later about the SGL31's. His argument was that it's a cheap piece of sheet metal and not in any way worth what I paid for it. He didn't care that more than anything else I wanted to own a true Russian AK74 and had finally gotten one, he couldn't get past the sheet metal.

I can't say 14K is worth a FA Krink...but I also couldn't objectively say paying $40K+ for a BMW is worth it either. But you know without a doubt where the money went when you drive it ... and I think you'll know for dang sure where the money went when you pull the trigger on that Krink

Amen again!

that is waaayyyy too cool. And to think I passed up all those 3k conversions back in the 90's b/c they cost too much!
Maybe Santa will bring me a winning lotto ticket and I can join in the fun! My krink is a Troy build also and is top notch!
I can promise you a well built rifle!!! And yes on the vid! Must see in action!

ETA:

Don't burn up that purtty wood though! Slap some polymer furniture on it to run her hot.

She's a beauty!

I may shoot up to the pit around noon on Sat. if the weather's not too bad to break in my Xmas present (Draco). I'd love to see her run.
I'll be dumping a few drums from my S-12 and the Draco. Unfortunately no happy switch here though...

Here is a video of my new krink. Not sure why the Iphone did not pick up the fireball because after every shot, there is a 3 foot long ball of fire!!

Were getting a better camera to shoot some video Wednesday night. All in all, we shot about 500 round thru this beast yesterday and it ran flawlessly.. 7.62x39 krinks make a big bark but no real bite. Awesome to shoot and watch.

I used to have the same argument with a friend of mine concerning my BMW. He was always busting on my car for this or that. He drove an Accord and was always making points about why his car was better and everything. In the end I came to the conclusion he was just jealous.

Regarding the Krink and accompanying video, it oozes pure awesomeness!
