Need second opinion on this front end of this Maadi ARM

Hey Boys!

I think I found myself another Maadi - oh yea! This is a ARM ACC Int. How does the tack look on this muzzle break? Does this look turned down? Do the ARM versions of the Maadi have the 'turned down problem'? I've been lucky with my MISR's - they have all not had the turned down barell problem.

What do you think?

That is a tack weld muzzle nut over a threaded barrel. Go for it!

Wow, it looks like it has a fully intact lug. Is this so? Jump on it either way!

I want to remove the muzzle cap on my 93 Maadi also, what is the best tool for the job. I have a dremel tool, but should I grind the weld down or use a cutting wheel and try to cut slots where the cap and the FSB meet. Any info would be greatly apprecated. I tend to be all thumbs when I am not sure what I am doing. Also what is the size of the threads under the cap? Thanks, Gerry

I used a dremel to remove my cap. Not sure about the size of the threads but they're the standard AKM threads that will fit a slant brake.

Is it lugged? It looks like it is intact.

I'll see when it gets here. No big deal either way with me - nice bonus if it is.

When do you expect it to arrive? Be sure and post some pictures of it!

I expect it here sometime next week. I'll post some pre-work pics when it arrives. This Maadi like all Maadi's have a date with my Sand Blaster ---> Park Tank ----> Gun Kote. I then pre-purchased a nice Russian AKM set of wood from Z-recto he's working on/gathering .

This one should be worthy enough to sit next to my other maadi. I love these projects
