A Maadi RPK clone?
What would be involved in converting a Maadi RPM into a faux RPK??
Whould it be about the same as converting a NHM-91 and any other AK? or would it be pretty trouble free?
I assume that one would need RPK furniture, bipod and probably a bbl extension. Would this be correct? Is there anything I am forgetting?
As usual, any input is appreciated.
It is a fairly straight forward conversion. It will use the std. RPK stock set. I would do US slant brake, gas piston, pistol grip and FCG. Most RPMs have the nut welded on the front so they are already threaded. Biggest thing is finding a correct Maadi bipod and having the rifle re-finished. Also RPMs do have a 20" bbl. but it isn't as heavy as an RPK.
Good Luck,
