Maadi Sling

What is the correct sling for a Maadi? I have Googled everything I can think of and I can't find anything. The one thread I found on hear was fairly old and the pics were not working.

It's a noticeably bright (and they come in dark) green cotton-canvas type sling with a black or brown leather keeper/retainer:

Mine is the same funky dark green color as 5 and 6 on the board in the pic above. It is the same color as the second sling in the picture with the rifle- the one curled up not the one on the gun. Here are some pics. I have a 1992 made Pars imported RML that I bought new in the box in mid 1993. Here are some pics of the sling that came with mine. Sorry the first one is a bit dark.

They certainly come in several shades with many variants of styles on the "D" ring.
There's also a very similar Egyptian sling that has a slightly different metal tab and rivet pattern. It's said these slings were for the Egyptian Hakim rifle, but they were probably used on the Egyptia Maadi to a lesser degree at some point in time by some military units as well. Note the difference with the metal tab and hook as compared to the Egyptian Maadi sling:

Thanks for the pics! Any sources for those type of slings? Nothing comes up when you search for Maadi slings. Did anyone else use them?

You're talking about a sling that came with a rifle that's not been imported in 17 years. There's many out there which pop up for sale on Gunbroker, forum sales boards, etc. You just have to watch and wait. But they pop up. There aren't any vendors selling them outright but rather just individuals that had one with an old rifle or they happened upon one or two themselves.
Keep watching - you'll eventually find one somewhere.

I just found a Hakim Maadi sling for sale and it looks like it is in stock. It could be an old link, but looks active.
