Opinions on this Egyptian AK from Atlanatic Firearms

I am thinking I am going to order this AK-47. Atlantic told me it is contract built by Lancaster Arms.

Do you think its much better than a Century WASR 10/63?

Well I went ahead and ordered it. I hope it will be better than my Century WASR10/63, which new from the factory would not even chamber a round. Its back at century now, and I will probably sell it for a loss once I get it back.

I would also like to know the overall quality of these. I am consider buying one as well.

this is a lancaster arms build. built from a non-matching egyptian parts kit without a barrel. they use a u.s. made chrome-lined barrel.

Has to be, given their ridiculous insistence on polishing every bolt carrier that leaves their factory.

So does anyone have any experience with these rifles that could comment on their quality?

I recieved mine on tuesday. Overall I am very happy with it. The reciever is much nicer quality than the dremmeled out WASR that I also have. Mine had no scratches anywhere and the finish looks good. I haven't shot it yet but from looking it over the only issue is the sights are quite lined up. I haven't decided if its the FSB or the gas block. I will put a straightedge on it to find out. It shipped in a hard plastic case which I was surprised at. I was expecting the finish on the wood to be a little nicer but it is still better than my Century WASR and I plan to refinish it anyway. I will try to take some detailed pictures of it this weekend and post them here for you guys.

That is a good looking rifle! Is the rifle parked or painted? I think the stock looks good. Was the kit a matching number kit?

Atlantic said they are out and not expecting any more

Its currently on its way back to lancaster to straighten the FSB. Other than that small issue which they said they would fix the same day they recieve it, I really like the rifle!

I like the polished bolt carrier, its staying just the way it is.

apex still has the kits for $214 shipped.ad a nds receiver for $55,fcg,rivits and a can of paint and a little work and you can have 1 for about $325.nice lookin rifle.should have mine finished soon.

Looks are an after thought, did it feed reliably for the first several hundred rounds?
