Can anyone help me with my recent purchase, its my first AK and it's a Maadi. Is it a pre or post ban? I assume post? Also, what would something like this be worth. . Any other info you can give me about Maadis would be great. Can't wait to start learning more and shooting my first AK.

Post ban, and someone put the "evil" features back. What is the 922 parts count on it?

Very nice, I just paid $95 more for one, here is a link that will answer many questions you have.

I'm not sure if you understand the "922 compliance" thing, but in case you don't, you have to have 6 or more US-made parts (out of the list of 16) on your rifle/magazine system.
If your assembled rifle/magazine doesn't do that, you make yourself a felon.

Thank you for clearing that up. Is there an easy way to tell if the parts were made here? Should I take the firearm to a local gun dealer?

Most US parts will be stamped for identification.

You should be able to pick up the 6 replacement parts that you need right here: www.tapco.com/catalog.aspx?id=234

That's a MISR SA.
Nothing non-compliant about it, nothing "evil" has been added. That configuration is exactly how it was sold new by Century.
